Ronald Hofman, M.D.

Dr. Hofman was born in Bozeman, MT and lived in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Los Angeles, CA, and Muskegon, MI in his youth. He is married to Heidi and has four children. A graduate of Calvin College and University of Michigan Medical School, he completed his Pediatric Residency in Grand Rapids, joining Alger Pediatrics in 1984. He is board certified through the American Board of Pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He was chairman of the department of Pediatrics at Helen DeVos Children's Hospital from 1996-98, and currently serves on the board of the Foundation for DeVos Children's Hospital. He is completing his term as chief of Community Pediatrics at HDVCH.  He is a Cadet counselor at Neland Ave. Christian Reformed Church and organizes the medical team for the Cadet International Camporee. He is a volunteer physician at Baxter Community Center and he staffs the Helen DeVos Children's Hospital Resident clinic in a teaching capacity. He is a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at Michigan State University Medical School. A recipient of the Building Bridges Award from Camp Tall Turf, he has been president of the Board of the camp and initiated the Helen DeVos Children's Hospital Asthma Camp at Tall Turf. He was named the St. Francis Award recipient for 2013 for Baxter Community Center.
